Not sure what to say?

We'll miss the laughter, jokes and stories around the Holiday table this year, but we have the hope of seeing each other again. Like the old hymn says, "When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be!" .....until then....
The Evans Family

We met Bob Hutchens through his daughter, Kim, when she attended Phoenix Christian. Bob and Kim both stayed in touch over all the years since. He became a good friend. He was a Christian gentleman, a very dedicated police officer, and a great Father and Grandfather. We will really miss you our friend, Bob!

You went so suddenly and way too soon. You were like a father to me and I hate that we lost you so soon. I'll take care of our name. I got it from here.
I'll see ya' in Heaven!
Scott

Dad:
You are my heart and my light. I miss you and love you so very much.

How sad to learn of the passing of a grat man and a good friend. God Bless you Hutch...a true friend.

It is so true in describing Bob what a kind and warm hearted man he was. One of my fondest memories were my partner and I always "running into" Bob and Don Short at Denny's on Tuesday nights (it was potato soup night) !! His warmth will be greatly missed.

Not only was Bob Hutchens one the the nicest Phoenix police officers I ever worked with, he is certainly one of the nicest and most decent men I've ever known. Bob and I rode together when I was a rookie at 700 in 1981. We again worked together as Night Detectives in the late 1990's. He was always even in temperment, a sense of humor second to none, and a splendid human being in every regard. Hutch was a Christian Gentleman in the truest and purest sense of the term. God bless Bob...

Goodbye good friend! We were on the same squad in 700 Precinct, and he taught me a great deal. He was definitely a wonderful man and was always so proud of his family. When we would ride together, he always talked about his family. It was apparent to all who knew him how special his children and grandchildren were to him! God bless you Bob....

I was saddened to hear of Bob's passing. We went through detective school together and had a great class.
After I went to GIB, he and I found we had a passion for collecting antique milk bottles. Hutch would share information on some of his finds and we always compared notes when one of us would get a new one to add to our collection.
Hutch was a kind and gentle soul who will be missed.
Rest in peace, Bob.
