My condolences, Susan, to all of you. How fondly I remember meeting you and Bob when we all signed up for the Personal Best Marathon Training program. Bob would lead our endless laps around the track at South Lakes High School. He flawlessly kept the correct pace for us, lap after lap. I also remember when the 3 of us ran the Atlantic City Marathon together. The day before the marathon Larry drove us around the 26.2 mile course. I had never checked out a course before running it, and I...

I met Bob a few years ago on the Pickleball courts. We started as 3, then 4 people. Suddenly, the "Wicked Pickles" team grew to 20 people. Bob was a founding member of our group and quickly became quite an accomplished player. He would watch videos and then offer his playing tips to all of us. He was an inspiring gentle soul. Bob made us better players and better people. Our group became a real community caring for each other.
He really did live life to the fullest at the youthful...

Bob was just a great friend growing up through the years.
We never got into a fight. We did have a disagreement when I returned one summer, but she soon went to the convent.
WOW what a guy.

Bob was a classmate at Rockhurst High School, and we we became closer as our senior year approached. To my regret, we lost contact over the years, but I remember him well as a good man, even then. I am so sorry to learn of his passing. We talked at our last class reunion, and he was obviously excited about moving to Florida. I trust he had some good years there, and I'm sure he made grand friends as he did everywhere he went. My sincere condolences to his family. May the many fine memories...

Dear Susan:
Many of my memories of Robert are of meeting and chatting in the alley as we went to check on our mail, and of course out on the McLean streets as we each ran on our own routes and at our own pace. I purposely avoided running with him on the outbound leg because I knew that at some point I'd get pooped and he would keep going. And that was after he had survived cancer and heart surgery. If I were the jealous type, Robert would be one of the very few people of whom I would be...
