Dear Bob & Kathy, Kittie and I were vacationing in the mid-west when we received the news of Robbie's passing. Let me say our vacation ended at that point. Our hearts go out to you at this time and we are praying for God's comforting hand. I remember coaching Robbie at soccer and even then he was the perpetual jokester, the team seemed to revolve around him. I also thought of the fun times we had camping and Robbie always seemed to keep the other kids entertained. Robbie left some great...

Rob was a great soul. Always looking for someone to mess with. Loved to play jokes on people. He was a very hard worker really cared about the students, and the staff.Loved to ride his bike even though they made him cover his tatoos.I feel very honered that I got to know him and hear about his wife and children who he loved and to have had the privlege to work with him.May you look to Jesus and allow his Holy Sprit to comfort you.

This news brought me great sadness. I knew "Robbie" from our days together as "HARD" guards. If ever you were down, he was the one to put a smile on your face or make you laugh so hard it brought you to tears.
To the LaPoint family, his wife and children, I wish you strength in this time of incredible saddness. Remember the great times. I'm sure there were many. May you find solace in your memories of him.

I was so very sorry to learn this morning of Sgt. Robert LaPoint's passing. The first thing that came to my mind... was those beautiful eyes and smile. I remember being on the CVHS PTA Board that spproved the funds to buy the high tech bike that LaPoint loved to ride through town. As the secretary at CVE back in 2000 and on, he'd come riding up to the office proudly on that bike.
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
