Not sure what to say?

Canoeing on the Econlockhatchee River will never be the same without Everett and Tee as our guides. They will be sorely missed, but never forgotten. The exquisite bald eagle that swooped down over our canoes on that first outing many decades ago will forever symbolize their constant love for God's Creation and for all who shared it with them. May their sojourn with the Creator be all that Everett and Tee hoped for and expected. And may they find many canoeable streams in Heaven...

Everett and Tee were very special people in so many lives. Especially the Girl Scout troops in Winter Park, Florida. They will both be missed by many. My prayers and thoughts are with the many friends and family members.

Mr. Leedy provided both canoeing lessons and life lessons for many Girl Scouts, including myself. The ripples of his life continue endlessly as we teach new generations of young people the joys of nature, God, and friendship.

Christmas Canoe Trip/ Early 60's

Lives are molded by the people with whom we share our lives. I was blessed by sharing a portion of my life with Everett and Tee Leedy. As many others, I am proud to say that Everett Leedy taught me canoeing - my feeling has always been that I learned from a true master. Some of my fondest memories are those of Christmas canoe trips with the Leedys. Striking out down one of Florida's wonderful wilderness rivers with them led to great adventures, a sense of awe, and provided lasting...

Everett and Tee Leedy were a big part of life for many of us growing up in Winter Park in the '50s and '60s. Everett's parents owned Leedys in downtown W.P. They were close friends of my parents and we grew up camping, canoeing and even fishing with the Leedys! My mom had known them since the '30s when she and Everett were in high school (WPHS.) Tee had been an active Girl Scout (even earned a Golden Eaglet) so it was natural that Everett became a Girl Scout too. If they were along on...

A Christmas Canoe Trip/ Early 60's

Takoohy (Tee) and Everett Leedy

Everett and Tye Leedy were an important part of my scouting and growing up yeats more than forty years ago. Not only did they teach me how to canoe correctly, but they were awesome role models. Both were fantastic teachers who helped instill in me a pattern for teaching that I used in both my classroom and with my Girl Scouts. Stern but loving and willing to take the time to impart knowledge because of their passion for the subjec, they were extraordinary human beings. Not many can say they...

Thank you for all you did so lovingly for so many of my Citrus Gold sisters. There is a special place in Heaven for those that give from their hearts without the expectation of earthly compensation.
