Not sure what to say?

Rev. Leslie's positive impact on everyone at Grand Avenue Presbyterian Church will never be forgotten by those of us who were blessed to be in his congregation. My condolences to his family.

Bob Leslie was always kind to me. He always made me feel like I had a friend around when he was around.

Not sure why I didn´t share my sympathies here last year but reading all these memories brings back to me my first meeting with Bob at the Wesleyan. When I helped my mom Dorothy Gaisbauer move into her cottage, Candace and Bob came to introduce themselves with their typical kindness. As I think back, I remember Bob had on shorts sandals and pink socks. When he found out I was Presbyterian, we shared lots of church stories and jokes together. I learned about his bagpipes and had the pleasure...

Reverend Bob Leslie was an interim minister at First Presbyterian Church in Corvallis, OR. He and Candace made an indelible impression on me and my husband during this time. We are so saddened to learn of his passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with Candace and all the family.

Dear Candace and Family, Bob's obit was printed in our weekly Fanfare. With the passing of both John and Nancy Dennis within a short time span we have had several ministers which may explain the delayed announcement. We lost our beloved Louise at Christmas 2020, so life has taken the children and I to new levels of grief and coping. We so loved our time with you both while you were in Corvallis. Bob and Louise with their Scottish roots made for some fun times together. I always felt bad...

I cherish the many memories of Bob; thinking of you Candace. We played two piano music together in Plattsburgh back in the 1960's and recall these times as if yesterday. Love, Bill Jones (now in Waynesboro, GA)

I have only learned today that Bob died in March and my mind has been flooded with memories since reading the email from Candace. Bob was a friend to all of my family but especially to my father, Julian (Jay) Hendren. They met when he was an undergraduate at UT and Dad was a student at Austin Theological Seminary. Oh, the words I could write but it's my memory that he brought Candace to our house for my parents to meet her once he knew he was in love. The years passed but they never lost...

Bob Leslie touched so many of our lives in amazing ways. He became a friend as the bagpiper that energized our annual Robert Burns birthday celebrations. His enthusiasm for life was contagious and his love for others boundless. His memory will not fade.

Deepest sympathies from the Albert E. Pike family & the Joe McBride family of San Augustine, TX.
