ROBERT LIMA

I recall Dr. Lima when I was a graduate student at Penn State (1972-1974) and, when I became a miembro correspondiente of ANLE, I sent him a few emails about a title for an essay that I was planning to write "Sociocultural masculinity and femininity in Federico Garcia Lorca's drama La casa de Bernarda Alba. My compatriot and ANLE colleague, Robert Lima, will be sadly missed. He was a true scholar, a devoted researcher and a dedicated colleague. Qué descanse en la paz del Señor.

With my late husband Eugenio I met Robert Lima many years ago in Lima, Peru. Since we became good friends. Will always remember his Cuban sense of humor and his devotion to Valle Inclan. An admired scholar and devoted researcher! May he rest in peace.

Nunca nos conocimos personalmente, pero sostuvimos una buena amistad a través del correo. Robert era un verdadero humanista, un hombre cabal y ejemplar académico. Que descanse en paz.
