What a huge loss. Robert was incredibly talented, kind, and intelligent. He lived about a half a millennium's worth of life in his too-short 44 years. The stories, man, the stories! The good times! He was one of the greatest friends I'll ever make, and his absence is painful. No one's ever taught me or helped me so much, and I'll be eternally grateful for his mentorship and friendship. I love ya, Robert. You were a hell of a man, and your spirit endures to inspire us all.

My heart is crushed upon learning this news just today. Robert became one of my first friends after my move to Florida many years ago. We were close in age, with our birthdays only a couple weeks apart. He loved skateboarding, skydiving and playing music. He could play anything by ear --a true God-given talent. We're deeply sorry for the sadness and loss of Robert. Krista and I both saw our dads go enter heaven this year and we share in your pain and grief. Please know that your family is and will remain in our prayers. Krista's due in a couple weeks with our 7th baby on her dad's birthday.
