Not sure what to say?

Robert Patrick was a cousin; his father and my Canadian grandmother were siblings. My sister and I met him in 2019, going to visit him on his 90th birthday, as we were doing genealogy.

Mr. McCormick was one of the best teachers I had in high school. He taught me so much beyond the three years of Latin at Carlmont. I had the privilege of visiting him whenever I returned to California for various reunions. Despite his insistence, I could never call him by his first name. Both Mr. Deegan and Mr. McCormick are gone now, and I hope that they are still enjoying the company of each other. Both were a true inspiration for me. Farewell my friends.

Mr. McCormick was the best! So funny and I learned mucho from him... Taught me 3 years of Spanish. Many fond memories. May you Rest In Peace, Sir! Carlmont H.S. Class of `97

Mr. McCormick was one of the very best teachers I have ever had. He was a wonderful person and I will miss him.

We called him "Bouncing Baby Bobby Blue-Eyes" behind his back at Carlmont High School, where he taught me 4 years of German. By the fourth year, we were reading German literature in Gothic script. He was one of my touchstones in a career (1968-2020) that offered me the chance to work in over 50 countries. May he rest in peace, and in the power of his ability to expand my imagination. Robert McCormick taught me four years of Latin at Carlmont High School (1960-1964). He was an inspiring teacher. May he rest in peace.

As an original, you made my joy of words come alive. Thank you and God bless. Memory eternal, kind sir.
