Not sure what to say?

Dr. McCurdy was an amazing professor, a great mentor and a best friend to me. From my first day at ONU till graduation, he was always supportive and encouraging to me & all international students. I formed a strong relation with him even after graduation he was a great influencer in my life career. I will never forget his warm heart, lovely jokes & valuable advises. This news is heart breaking but he will be always living in our memories. My deepest condolences to Myrna & his family.

Dear Myrna and fam,
Barbara and I were deeply saddened to hear of Bob's passing. He was such a strong, dedicated leader in pharmacy, Sigma Pi fraternity, and at Ohio Northern University. Other than Bill Robinson, no one has been more loyal to ONU for a longer period of time as a student, faculty and alumnus than Bob. Although he was only 3 years older than I when we first met, he seemed so mature that I thought he was much older. We had some wonderful times together during our ...

Bob always made my day better with his warmth and upbeat approach to life. He was a wonderful friend and mentor. Sincere condolences to Myrna and his family.

When I began my teaching and coaching career at Ohio Northern, Bob was one of the first professors to greet me in the pharmacy school. I was honored to have had the opportunity to teach in the pharmacy school and Bob was a wonderful supporter of my teaching and coaching at ONU. I sincerely appreciated his unconditional love and support of the numerous volleyball players who were pharmacy majors during my tenure. My sincere sympathy to the entire McCurdy family. I loved Bob McCurdy.

Dr. McCurdy is an ONU legend!!! He is THE reason I was able to get into the pharmacy program. He worked closely with me to make sure I had everything I needed to be admitted and a success! My fondest memory is the time my friends and I bought dinner with him and Mrs. McCurdy and we went to this awesome little Thai place! He was and will always be held in the highest regard as an excellent pharmacist and educator! And fun fact, we bonded over my hometown being Youngstown, which is where he was...

Dr McCurdy was the first person I met when I visited ONU and welcomed my family and I with nothing but open arms when considering pharmacy school - he even gave me my first mortal and pestle - he encouraged me as well that I could make softball work with pharmacy school (class of 2017) because I remember him telling me “you can give your brain a break every once in awhile and do something else you love” - I give him so much credit for giving me a career that I love - prayers for his family, I...

The song "You've Got a Friend in Me" could have been written about Bob. He always had a ready smile, a warm handshake, a kind word, and a encouraging wish for everyone he encountered. We live in a world that needs more people like Bob. Godspeed.
