Robert W. McCurdy

Dr. McCurdy was an amazing professor, a great mentor and a best friend to me. From my first day at ONU till graduation, he was always supportive and encouraging to me & all international students. I formed a strong relation with him even after graduation he was a great influencer in my life career. I will never forget his warm heart, lovely jokes & valuable advises. This news is heart breaking but he will be always living in our memories. My deepest condolences to Myrna & his family.

Barbara and I were deeply saddened to hear of Bob's passing. He was such a strong, dedicated leader in pharmacy, Sigma Pi fraternity, and at Ohio Northern University. Other than Bill Robinson, no one has been more loyal to ONU for a longer period of time as a student, faculty and alumnus than Bob. When I began my teaching and coaching career at Ohio Northern, Bob was one of the first professors to greet me in the pharmacy school. I was honored to have had the opportunity to teach in the pharmacy school and Bob was a wonderful supporter of my teaching and coaching at ONU. I sincerely appreciated his unconditional love and support of the numerous volleyball players who were pharmacy majors during my tenure. My sincere sympathy to the entire McCurdy family. Dr. McCurdy is an ONU legend!!! He is THE reason I was able to get into the pharmacy program. He worked closely with me to make sure I had everything I needed to be admitted and a success! The song "You've Got a Friend in Me" could have been written about Bob. He always had a ready smile, a warm handshake, a kind word, and a encouraging wish for everyone he encountered. We live in a world that needs more people like Bob. Godspeed.
