Dr. Robert "Geiger" McLeod

1927 - 2017

McLeod, Dr. Robert Geiger, age 89, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 11, 2017. Bob was a God-loving servant, husband, father, grandfather and veteran of the United States Navy. Bob's family was the joy of his life. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Doris Bass McLeod; daughters, Kim McLeod Lett and Renee McLeod Graham (Jeff Graham); grandsons, Dillon McLeod Graham, and twins, Collin McLeod Graham and Austin McLeod Graham; sisters, Doris McLeod Sofge and Ann McLeod Walker; and, predeceased by brother, John Curry McLeod, Jr. Bob was born in Rockledge, FL He was the son of John Curry McLeod and Doris Elizabeth Geiger McLeod. Bob served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He later received a bachelor degree from Davidson College and a master's degree and PhD from the University of Florida. Bob worked in aerospace most of his career for Lockheed Martin. Bob was an active member of First Baptist Church Orlando and then later at the Church on the Drive. He served on numerous committees, was a deacon and sang in the choir. He taught Bible classes for over fifty-five years. Graveside service will be at 1:30 PM Monday at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home followed by a Celebration of Life service at 3:00 PM at the Church on the Drive.
