Not sure what to say?

Just tried to call Bob and Barbaras phone #,
was disconnected. I ck'd obits, and discovered that Bob had passed. I stayed in touch with him over the years, as one can see, it's been a while since I called him. I dropped by and saw
him maybe 5 yrs ago, he had aged like we all do, still he was filled with stories about some of the pictures on his wall, was his 'cute' self.
He was my Dr. for many years, he cared, had great humor, was fun to visit even though i might have been sick....

My first memory of Dr. Mendle was my first appointment in his waiting room, waiting an hour and becoming more and more irritated with each passing minute. Finally I was called into his office. Five minutes in his presence I knew then that if I had to wait three hours to see Dr. Mendle, I had no problem with it.

For the next ten years I continued living and working in San Francisco and when the time arose I'd see Dr. Mendle and his diagnosis was always spot on, but what made him...

I was deeply saddened when I heard of Bob's passing. Our family has had a long and wonderful relationship with Bob and I will miss his humor and caring. As a doctor and a person, there was none better.

I was saddened of learning of the passing of a wonderful doctor and human being this past weekend in the SF Chronicle, Bob was kind, thoughtful and generous, I recall going out to lunch with him frequently and he almost always drove. He was a very good doctor, devoted to his patients. I was blessed to have known him.

His sense of humor and current knowledge of what was going on with the San Francisco Giants always put a smile on my face.

I cannot express how much Bob will be missed. On a personal note, he was a best are caring friend to my parents and to me personally for the 65 years we were so fortunate to know him. To my parents and aunt, he and Barbara could not have closer or better friends. While Bob is no longer with us, I will always have the wonderful memories of Bob and all he has given us. --- Sandy Peiser
