"Doc" Milks was my scoutmaster at Trop 503 at St Mark's Church in Orchard Park. He was a quiet man who loved Boy Scouts and reminds me of what a real life Dumbledore would be like. In the forest there was no one better identifying trees, bird calls or flowers. And he had a wonderful sense of humor that showed up so unexpectedly that you sometimes didn't know it was there until it was gone.
He was a master story teller. You'd think teenaged boys would not want to be read a story...
