Bob was a professional colleague who became a confidential advisor and friend over the years. We first met in 1985 when he provided great advice that prompted me to join the ICMA supplemental retirement program. He continued to patiently offer me wise employment advice in the following decades when he served as a volunteer ICMA/ILCMA range rider. Rest in Peace Bob. I think I met you when I was 3 or 4 years old. Your friendship with my Grandfather and our family will forever be treasured. Your support for me during over 25 years at the Glencoe Golf Club was remarkable, from my years parking carts to nearly 15 years as Golf Club Manager. I´ll never forget you.

Bob was the consummate city manager and a true professional. I am grateful to have known him, as I benefited greatly from his wisdom, experience and sincere desire to help others in the profession. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family on their loss.
