Not sure what to say?

Even though I was a music education major at the U of A (not a piano major), I was very fortunate to have been a private piano student of Robert Muczynski for 3 years from 1974-1977. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the piano pieces he chose for me to work on and I still go back to them from time to time. He was always professional and had a gentle demeanor. He touched the lives of many through his music and spirit.

Bob was my neighbor on New England Avenue in the 1950s. My treat was to open my bedroom window at night and listen to his beautiful music. Amen

I knew of him composer since my youth from piano teacher Ann Marie Hall.
He music and talent was beautiful.

Robert Muczynski's music has been a living part of me since I was in ninth grade with his Six Preludes for Piano to my winning a concerto competition with his piano concerto in 1984 ( in which he corresponded with me through the entire competition; I'll always remember his taking time with me over the miles across the country ) at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio and through today. His music betters my life immensely. Be Well, all, Mark Koehler from Ashland, Ohio [email protected]

My prayers and sympathy.
God bless him and let him rest in peace.

Bob and I were colleagues in the School of Music for many years, and I knew him as a composer, teacher, and performer. I remember best performing in his music for Harry Atwood's film documentary, "Bellota," in the late sixties. The quality of his music in this work as in his other compositions was first rate and is extremely well written for all instruments.

We offer our deepest sympathy. When tragedy strikes and takes the life of our loved ones, many cry out with great sorrow. Your tears are not unnoticed by the Creator of Life. Never was it his purpose for our human lives to be taken away. Although your deep pain will not easily disappear, prayer to God will bring comfort to you as you grieve. The Bible assures us God "is healing the broken hearted ones, and is binding up their painful spot." Psalm 147:3

Bob was a great composer and a fine teacher. His music will live on, finding ever-larger audiences.

Our sincerest sympathy, Gloria. May he rest in Peace with our Lord.
