Dear Bob: I just saw the notice of the loss of your sweet father this evening or I would certainly have been at his funeral. I´ve been out of town and out of the loop. We had such great times with him, Jerry and you kids during your growing up years. Please know I´m thinking of you and your family during this sad time. Love, Janet Smith

Bob and I were associates and friends at the C&P Telephone Company of Virginia, where we both worked in the Independent Company Relations Group in the 80's. Bob welcomed me into the organization, and showed me the ropes when I was assigned there. I remember him as an early adopter of computers when they were first introduced to the company. Bob was definitely one of the good guys. I remember him fondly.

I had no clue that Jerry had passed until I saw this - So sorry to hear that both are 'gone' but life is far better where they are now. They will rest in peace, prayers for the family....

Great memories of Robert and Jerry! It was a surprise blessing to him and us when he joined our choir! Lovely tenor voice and always a warm and good man. Prayers and thoughts to the family. I know you will miss him greatly! So sorry I am out of town but will be there in spirit.
