Read MoreI was talking to a former Postal colleague and Robert's name came up. She had no idea he died and, when I told her he indeed did, she was very saddened. We were in agreement that we appreciated his laid back management style which never interfered with him being a genuinely decent and kind person. My best to his family even as the years have rolled on.

Today my heart is broken. I have lost a dear friend. I'm going to miss sharing jokes, talking about Allen Conners at the meetings-Well actually talking about everybody, all the good Gossip. I'm going to miss your laid back style, your love of life, your love for your postal family and specially your love for your family. You will always be in my heart and prayers.

Robert was my neighbor and good friend during our Fremont and OHS days. Unfortunately we lost contact after high school. I just read of his passing ... it's a very sad day. My condolences to his family. He touched a lot of lives and will be missed by many.

Robert...my dear friend...I said "good-bye" to you today and it was one of the worst days of my life. I have many wonderful memories of you and I will think of you every day. You always made me laugh. You always had a good story or one of your many one-liners. It's just not going to be the same without you. I am so glad I got to know you. You were a great family man, great co-worker and a great friend. We're all going to miss you, Robert!

I also went to school with Robert, he (as so many have conveyed)....was a kind hearted guy and it is very clear from all the entries here and on FB, that he will be dearly missed!! Sending warm thoughts and prayers to the family.
