I have fond memories of Diane and Bob walking together at Chalker Beach. There was always time for a friendly chat and an update on all the kids. Bob had a wonderful smile! You are all in my thoughts

I am extending my sincere sympathies to the Paterno family. I played on John Paterno's(Robert's dad) basketball team from 1959-62. I graduated from college and came back in 1967 to work with John and ended up when he retired replacing him as Basketball coach and Athletic Director. I met Robert on a few occasions, but I felt a level of sadness for the Paterno family and needed to share a part of my connection. Be well

Cousin Bob and I shared a great love for the New York Yankees and Chalker Beach in Old Saybrook, Ct. The DiNapoli and Paterno families spent our early years all growning up on Prospect Avenue in West Hartford where we spent many happy hours playing in the yard prior to the DiNapoli's selling the homestead to Texaco. Carol DiNapoli and I would climb up in the large cherry tree in the yard and shake the branches while our brothers Bobby and Jimmy along with cousin Bobby would stand below...
