Bob flew his plane up to Alaska to fish with me on the Kenai River back in the early 80's if I remember correctly. He had befriended my sister, Nancy Bender at the hospital where she was nursing. One thing led to another, and after some phone calls and planning, he and two friends, Ben and Steve, arrived at the Soldotna Airport and stayed with Kate and I for a week or so.
