I was a student of Dr Poerschke's in the late 1970s. Interactions with the man changed my life! Today, 30 years later, as a college educator, I still use what I learned from him. His great virtue as an educator was giving students the "freedom to learn."

Dr. Poerschke served as interim pastor at our church, Clement Bapt., located in Hurdle Mills, NC (Person County) at two different times in the 1960's. We have been blessed by his leadership.
