Robert Poerschke Obituary
He was predeceased by his wife, Katherine Kendrick Poerschke, and one granddaughter, Brek Katherine Kath. He is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law, Bill and Kathy Stillerman of Winston-Salem and Betsy and Doug Kath of Garner, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren (with a ninth on the way).

Betsy and Kathy -- So sorry to learn of your Dad's death. Both he and your Mom were so special to our family. We had wonderful times in Siler City. Miss them both very much. Our love to you.

I was a student of Dr Poerschke's in the late 1970s. Interactions with the man changed my life! Today, 30 years later, as a college educator, I still use what I learned from him. His great virtue as an educator was giving students the "freedom to learn."

Your family is in our thoughts and prayers. Dr. Poerschke officiated at our wedding in 1972 while he was interim pastor at Bay Leaf Baptist in Raleigh, NC.

Dr. Poerschke served as interim pastor at our church, Clement Bapt., located in Hurdle Mills, NC (Person County) at two different times in the 1960's. We have been blessed by his leadership. His guidance was very helpful to the members of the Pastor Search Committee for which we are grateful. Please accept the condolences of Clement Bapt. Church.
