Rev. Robert M. Rutan

We have very fond memories of Bob from our days of serving Fairborn UMC. He was a dear friend and always had a warm smile. We shared many Sunday brunches with Bob and Alice.

Bob has been a client and friend for the last 7 years, and reminded me very much of my dad. When I told him that, he was pleased, and served very much as my surrogate dad, easy to talk to and respect. I will miss him very much.

Rev. Rutan was the pastor of Fairborn St. Luke United Methodist Church in 1979 when I joined. He had the kindest eyes I had ever seen and was always an encourager. I got involved with the church committees at his request. He helped me grow in my faith journey. Bob and I have many fond memories of his time with us in Fairborn. Thanks for sharing him with us. Deepest sympathy to you all.

Bob Rutan served Rocky Point Chapel for many years as a loving and kind shepherd. I remember him fondly as a messenger of God, but also a very special friend. I are blessed to have known him. Prayers for comfort in your time of loss.

Dear Marion and members of Bob's family. He will be missed as a wonderful and caring person. He spoke several times at our circle and was a respected and revered man.
