I was very sad to hear this morning that Mr. Bob passed away in September. He would come into our office to handle things with Mrs. Helen & by the time they left, you couldn't help except feel better. We enjoyed his visits to our bank, but we also know if we saw them anywhere, he'd stop to ask how we are. (...or to make sure I was chewing only ADA approved chewing gum.)
We will have Mrs. Helen in our prayers.

Helen, I am so sorry to see that Bob had passed away. After sitting in the chair, Bob, would always ask how I was doing health wise, workwise, etc. He always would ask how my wife and family were doing. He was aware that my wife, Barbie, was a heart patient and would always ask how she was doing. I appreciated this very much. As all dentists are taught, he would ask how I thought the Saints, LSU, politics were doing after he had my mouth stuffed with cotton. Bob was a dentist who had a lot of old tricks that many young dentists were not aware of. I have crowns that had broken off below the gum line and somehow with his experience, he could put off for years before the tooth would have to be pulled. Right now I have one for 4 years. I have missed him since he retired. I am sorry I could not attend the funeral, we were out of town and were not aware of his passing.

Helen,
As you know Bob was like a member of our family. In fact, he lived with us for a while here in new orleans. His father, Ed and my father, ward were both employed at USI on Broadway in New orleans and for a time The Ed Scheuermanns and Griffens lived together. When Bob began his practice it was obvious we Griffens would be patients. Throughout the years we CLIMBED those steps to see the best Dentist in the south! My family and I send our condolences to you and yours and know that Bob is now with God. All our best, if there is anything you need please know you have only to ask. All my love and sympathy Deedee Suthon and family

Helen and family,
I was truly saddened when I saw Dr. Scheuermann's death notice in the newspaper. He was our dentist for over 40 years. He always went out of his way to relieve our anxiety or fear with his jokes and stories. He was a very special person as well as a very knowledgeable dedicated dentist. Keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
