Not sure what to say?

Somewhere around summer of 1966, I had the opportunity to be a team mate of "Burns" on the Yankees team in the Guilford Little League coached by Mr. Maher and his father eventually winning the championship. He was a great team mate and friend for the 2 years we played on the same team. I met him in later years when he umpired the fall softball league in Guilford. He definitely was a great athlete and an umpire.

Our condolences to his family.

Bobby "Burns" will be missed by all of us that ever played ball with or against him, or umpired alongside . Knowing Burns was to know an unconventional guy- a true character. If I write a book one day he will be in it. To my longtime buddy Dick and his family -my deepest condolences.

Much love goes out to the friends and family of Bobby "Burns " Sears. He was a complex individual who will always be remembered for his over-the-top facial expressions, extraordinary athletic ability and comic relief. Today, I mourn his passing but will always remember him as a buddy and a truly remarkable character.
