Robert Sharp Obituary
CRESTLINE: Robert Michael Sharp, 66, of Crestline, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014 at his home. He was born February 9, 1948 in Galion, Ohio to Robert Jack Sharp and Dorothy McCarthy. He graduated from Crestline High School in 1966. In 1990, Mike attained his mortgage broker license and started a successful career based in Galion - Sharp Realty. He was a numismatist and enjoyed traveling in his spare time.
He is survived by two sons, Brian (Virginia) Sharp and Bradley (Kristie) Sharp, both of Crestline; six grandchildren, Khristin, Brandon, Benjamin, Desiree, Hope and Megan; a great-granddaughter, Madyson; his mother, Dorothy Clingan of Crestline; step mother, Katie Sharp of Galion; three sisters, Susan (Bill) Heitzman of Crestline, Jacqueline Marsano of Delaware and Sandra (Paul) Popson of Upper Arlington; long time friend, Sandra Poast of Galion; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
There will be no services or calling hours at this time. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family.

My condolences to the family. Mike and I were childhood friends with experiences ranging from sharing Chef Boyardee pizza while watching "Ghoulardi" on TV in my basement to wrestling in my driveway (he won). Mike and I reconnected in the past few years which was beneficial for both of us. Rest assured he is watching over his family from the "other side."

Our sympathy goes out to the Sharp and McCarthy families. Dave and I both knew Mike as a neighbor in our childhood; and Mike and I were in the Class of '66 together. We are so sorry to hear of his loss.

I am so sorry for your loss. I went to school with "Mike" and always thought he was such a great person. I've lived away from Crestline for almost 25 years now, but friends keep me informed. You have my sympathies and are in my prayers.

We became acquainted with Mike in the mid 70's, and because of many mutual interests, a business relationship and friendship lasted through the years. He became a solid friend always with a logical business sense.
In the last two years, Mike became a trusted advisor to me, a sounding board for ideas, a confidant and friend. He is greatly missed.
