I only knew Bob for about the last 15 years of his life. We attended many concerts and shows together and also enjoyed many dinners before and after. Dr. Silver was one of my teachers at Lenox Hill Hospital.He excelled at teaching, was an "old school" physician and true gentleman. In more recent years, I encountered him at Carnegie Hall, enjoying classical music. My sincere condolences.
