Not sure what to say?

One more memory: I had a patient with a dense white cataract. These can be tricky to operate on, but we can handle them. However, once I was doing one and the pieces of the cataract were unusually mobile, and probably "lightweight". They kept being repelled by the tip of my rapidly oscillating (vibrating) Phaco instrument. The little white pieces would dance away from my instrument and bounce around inside the front of the eye, instead of being attracted to it, and vacuumed up. This is...

I remember going to a wonderful wine tasting event at the Chez Melange restaurant in Redondo Beach. It was sponsored by The Sinskey winery and one of Bob's sons was there. He spoke lovingly and humorously of Bob and certainly seemed to enjoy his job and partaking in Bob's winery investment/hobby. It is another nice memory.

Bob hardly knew who I was. He gave me friendly advice once on the phone and vaguely knew that I was a friend of one of his partners. A Giant in Ophthalmology has passed who was a respected Surgeon andTeacher, who also built a wonderful winery that bears his name in Northern California, as well as developed devices and instruments for Cataract surgery that also bear his name. He will be sorely missed by patients, colleagues, friends and family. Rest in Peace.

I thought about your advice and encouragement to me just yesterday while doing something difficult.
You are always wherever we are Bob.
May God bless you.

We mourn with you. A loved one lost can grieve the heart, and make us yearn for tomorrow, When God will keep the promise he made of no pain, no death, and no sorrow. My prayers are with you and your family.
