I was so very sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He was a great worker and even a greater man! He will be missed by many. I had the opportunity to have lunch with him in recent years a few times while working at West. I always enjoyed the great conversation. May he R.I.P.

I can remember going to school at lakeside and everytime mr spanbauer was fulfilling his custodial duties, he always had a smile on his face. Again, seeing him at west when i went there. he was still the same smiling and proud man. its sad to know one of the greatest custodians is now gone. mr spanbauer is now keeping the halls of heaven looking in spectacular shape! my condolences to the family.

To all of the Spanbauer Family. We are so sorry for your loss. We have been friends with his sister Susie since school, so we knew Bob "way back when". He was a nice guy then and a wonderful man now. Reading all of these messages really is a great tribute to him. Our hearts are breaking for you. Please know that you will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. Love to you all.

I am deeoly sorry for your loss. Mr. Spanbauer was an amazing guy and that doesn't even really begin to describe him. My fondest memories are of chatting with him at the end of what I called "the rainbow road" (which was this super sparkly path leading down to where the custodial staff would hang out or break) and he knew my mum and so usually we'd talk about my family and school. And if my day was going rough, it was a sure thing that Mr. Spanbauer could put a smile on my face. Or if I...

Wendy and family,
I'm so sorry for your loss. I remember Bob from when I attended West and I remember he was always very kind and always smiling. I remember when you guys moved in and I was happy because I knew how nice he was. He was a great neighbor always waving hi and asking how we were when we would run onto each other. You all are in our thoughts and if you need anything please let us know.
