I can remember going to school at lakeside and everytime mr spanbauer was fulfilling his custodial duties, he always had a smile on his face. Again, seeing him at west when i went there. he was still the same smiling and proud man. its sad to know one of the greatest custodians is now gone. mr spanbauer is now keeping the halls of heaven looking in spectacular shape! my condolences to the family.

To all of the Spanbauer Family. We are so sorry for your loss. We have been friends with his sister Susie since school, so we knew Bob "way back when". He was a nice guy then and a wonderful man now. Reading all of these messages really is a great tribute to him. Our hearts are breaking for you. Please know that you will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. Love to you all.

I am deeoly sorry for your loss. Mr. Spanbauer was an amazing guy and that doesn't even really begin to describe him. My fondest memories are of chatting with him at the end of what I called "the rainbow road" (which was this super sparkly path leading down to where the custodial staff would hang out or break) and he knew my mum and so usually we'd talk about my family and school. And if my day was going rough, it was a sure thing that Mr. Spanbauer could put a smile on my face. Or if I needed help with something or a box or to borrow something or if it'd lost something, I could always find that helping hand and friend in him.
He will be greatly missed. Have fun in heaven Mr. Spanbauer.

Our sympathy to the Spanbauer family. I had the pleasure of working with Bob through West Woods and Waters when Kyle was in it. Bob had a passion for the outdoors and mentored many students. He was always there to help with banquets setting up and taking kids to work on many service projects. I appreciated his help sooo much!!! I will never forget you Bob. We had alot of great times with West Woods and Waters. You were a true friend. I know this hunting season you will get a bigger buck then me in heaven!!! To the family, we had many conversations and they were always about the love he had for all of you. Kyle remember that no one can take away all of your loving memories. Rhonda,Gary, and Casey Bartels

Dear Wendy and Boys,
I was given on of Gods gifts when I meet Bob as the new kid in the fall of 78 at Oshkosh West. All those Friday night Fish fry's at Wendts may have been a long time ago but yet it feels like yesterday. The memories of the great times we had will be with me forever. Although unfortunately we would not hook up as often as the years passed, we could always pick right back up and have a great time. May Gods love be with you.

I will miss him, his sense of humor and smile so much. My prayers are with all of you as you go through this difficult and trying time. Rest in peace Bob!

Our Weiske hearts are shattered. We loved Bob more than life itself. Our son Ben would shout "Bob Bob Bob's here" as he would see Bob's truck come into our driveway. Our girls would light UP when they saw him walk into the kitchen. He always had a kind word of love and encouragement for Ms. Ella. Pike loved drinking beers, eating cheese and sausage sticks and enjoying Bob's company anytime he could.
We are FOREVER indebted to Bob and Wendy for all they have done for our family. Bob's love and friendship will live on in our hearts forever.
Gone TOO soon but NEVER forgotten.
All our love and friendship and constant prayers to you Wendy, Brad and Kyle.
May God's love and light guide you daily.
All our love. The Weiske Family

I was saddened to hear of Bob's passing. He was a joy to work with and I liked his sense of humor very much.
I recall the birds that lived in the attic over the theater and how we laugh at the various complaints we both heard about it. He wait until the little birds could fly before finding a way to plug the hole.
