Not sure what to say?

This week, I read of the passing of Robert Stirm, Sr, aged 92. Rest in Peace.

Bo was in my home room during middle school. He was having a tough time of it, I remember him always wearing a purple down jacket. A classmate wore his dad's POW bracelet. The first time I ever saw him smiling was on the front page newspaper photo "Burst of Joy". I'd read he was practicing dentistry in Walnut Creek. Happy he found happiness in life. Hurts knowing he's gone.

Back in 2014 I did my Dental Assisting internship for 3 months at Dr. Stirm's office way down of Treat Blvd. Best hands on experience for a young rookie such as myself at that time. He was very firm and a great teacher. I will share an unforgettable moment. I was chair-siding for Doc on a root canal patient. The only sound in the room was Doc's hand pieces and the high and low suctions that I was operating. All of a sudden, with patient's mouth wide open, Doc and I witnessed a fly buzzing...

I knew Robert briefly in grade school. I remember people coming to the school and "comforting" us as they explained what had happened to Robert's father. As a 9 year old, living in America, war was impossible to fathom. Robert, wasn't a typical third grader. He and his sister were so much more mature than the rest of us. They were a bit more educated, a bit more older than their years would indicate. I would say, Robert was an old soul. I don't know what specifically happened but not long...

Very tough life indeed! Rest in Peace and thank you for your service to all of us.

I was only a patient of Dr. Stirm for about three years. However, I felt comfortable the first time I went to him and he performed several procedures on me during that time. He always had his patient´s back and fought my dental insurance diligently for me. He was very kind and generous. His staff reflected his persona and it was obvious they worked very well as a team. I still go to his office, as I like his staff. It´s as if they are sort of carrying on his legacy. He was true champion and...

I am profoundly sad to learn of Dr. Stirm´s passing. He was my one and only dentist while living in Concord for 25 years. We moved away18 months ago and I just learned today of the terrible news. One of the downsides to relocating is having to give up certain things like a terrific dentist. I can´t think of a nicer professional that I have ever had the pleasure of being a patient or customer of. He and the staff took amazing care of me and the kids. There was always some family oriented...

I met Dr. Stirm 30 yrs, ago. I was sent to install his telephone service as I worked for AT&T at the time. He took very good care of me and my needs for Dentistry par none. I will miss him forever, and I am so lucky to have known him. May he Rest in Peace.

My family were patients of his at his practice! Such a kind soul. Forever missed! You´re the coolest Doctor ever! Rest in peace Dr Stirm! we we´re happy you were our dentist for so many years!
