Not sure what to say?

As a rookie prosecutor, it was my good fortune to be assigned to second-chair two capital cases with Bob, and I learned how to try cases and comport myself in (and out of) the courtroom by watching his example. I could not have had a better mentor or friend, and whatever success I had in my career can be traced back to his influence. We also had a fun relationship. I called him "Stottski" and he never tired of reminding me, even decades later, that I would always be just a "rookie" to...

Dear Deanie, We are saddened to hear of Bob's passing. We have such fond memories of our time playing golf together. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Stotts. I am so sorry for the loss of Bob. My dad loved serving with Bob in the church. Bob anonymously gave a gift card for my dad to have a new suit. Bob was also a great institute leader. Deanie, I'm so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Believe me I know how hard this is, having gone through this four years ago. Loves & Hugs

Dear Deanie & Family, Our love & heart felt symphathy to you at this time. My the comfort and tender mercy of Heavely Father be with you. The evenings we spent in your home the past few years, studing the scriptures, are special memories! We love you very much!

A Journal entry from Nov 2018 On Monday´s bus ride home from work, the bus was crowded and I ended up sitting next to an older gentleman. Because of my large frame, I generally try to sit alone. Having to sit by someone is an annoyance. When forced to do so I generally avoid eye contact. The ride home takes about 35 minutes and I passed it playing solitaire. I like solitaire, but I get a little embarrassed playing in front of others because it seems like such a waste of time. As I...

Over my law enforcement career w/Salt Lake City Police´s Detective Div.,, Bob "screened" & prosecuted many cases that I investigated. While we were discussing each case within the confines of his office, we exchanged many pleasantries & casual talk about our families, world politics, etc. But when Bob would emerge from his office with case work under one arm, & walk across the street to a court appearance, he would put on his "game face" and become "Robert Stott, Esquire, Prosecutor...

A good man.
