I have known Robert's daughter Corinne for over 20 years, and we always shared stories together about our beloved fathers, how much we loved, appreciated and admired them as our Dads and as men of great character and accomplishment. While I never had the good fortune to meet Bob, I know that his best qualities have been inherited by his daughters and his legacy will continue. RIP, Robert Thruston

RGT my first Supt. when I was promoted. And worked for him again in Automotive group. A fine man and great rail.

I worked all the "Pacific Lines" as a Brakeman - Conductor for the Southern Pacific Company. R.G."Bob" Thruston was the best Superintendent I ever worked for. He was a good "RAIL" as we say on the railroad. Will miss him!
