Not sure what to say?

My husband and I both graduated from La Salle University and I just read in the alumni magazine that the world lost this dear man last January. Frankly, I do not know what to say...such a force that was Bob Vogt was easily expected to be with us forever: consoling, guiding, encouraging, teaching, loving and (not least of all) laughing and joking. How can this be? He should still be here with us, doing life's good work as only he could.
During an earlier chapter of his life, we met Bob...

I went to LaSalle with Bob. I am very sorry to hear of his passing, my thoughts are with you. Chuck Edwards

I just heard about the passing of BOB and I must say that I was quite taken aback. The last time I saw Bob was at the LIHEAP Kickoff where he was the winner of the two tickets to a Steelers game! Bob was a joy to work with and he will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

I just heard about Bob today and am so saddened by his passing. Bob was always so caring and understanding. He will be missed but never forgotten for Bob touched a lot of people's lives - including mine! Many prayers and thoughts are with all of you

I met Bob through the AIU...he was so warm, helpful, and obviously dedicated to the children he served. My deepest sympathy for your loss.

Phyllis,

My heart aches for you. I can't believe we will never have our Friday nights together again. The two of you together was like nothing I have ever seen before and probably never will again. You were everything to each other. He was not Bob and you were not Phyllis - you were Bob AND Phyllis. You came in a set, a pair, and you couldn't get one without the other. One can only aspire to have the love that you both shared for each other. I can only pray that you remain strong...

Bob (Uncle Big Guy) meant the world to Kate, I and our Boys. He always knew the right words to say. When my Dad died a few years back, Phyllis and Bob sent a card with a message that Bob wrote. I'd like to share a few of Bob's words from that card:
"After all the hugs and best wishes, after all the prayers and blessings, after all the details and documents, the strength and beauty of your wonderful family lives on. Your Dad's love for all of you also lives on. You will never lose the...

Dear Phyllis and Vogt Family,
Knowing Bob, was and honor, and a joy. He, touched our lives in a very special way, as only he could. He, had such a spirit about him, always caring about others first, and oh that infectious laugh and smile.. so much fun to be with. We will carry him in out hearts always. God, surely gave you the best!!!!! May all of your joyful memories help ease your pain.

Dear Phyllis and Family.

All of you are in my prayers. Everytime I saw Bob at the AIU he always had a hug and a genuine concern for me and my classroom. He will be missed but we will not forget him.
