Bob was my friend. I was his Travel Agent. He traveled extensively, he and Virginia. I wanted everyone to know Bob.s love of the NFL. He never missed a Pro Bowl in Hawaii. While Director of the Governor's Office of Telecommunications, Bob supported part of my research efforts into satellite digital links. At one point, both Tohoku University in Sendai, Japan, and the University of Alaska in Fairbanks had remote time share terminals into the University of Hawaii's computer system. Note this was in the 1970's!! Always a visionary in the best sense, Bob was a delight to work with. He will be missed.
