I was in Mr. West´s orchestra at Hicksville Junior High School for the 1964-1965, 1965-1966, 1966-67 school years. I played cello. Robert West was my Junior High School orchestra conductor in Hicksville Junior High. I played cello and sat first seat in the orchestra. He was the first teacher I had that truly made an impact on my life. We had a great student teacher relationship and I admired him a great deal especially because he was into cars like I was as a kid.
