Robert Leonard Wickett Sr. "Bob"

Robert "Bob" Wickett, Sr., 84, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2022. Bob was born on May 26, 1937 to Leonard and Sarah Ellen (Campbell) Wickett in Orono, Maine. Bob was predeceased by his son William. He is survived by his wife, Priscilla; children: Robert in San Diego, California, Julia in Inwood, West Virginia, and Thomas in Ashburn, Virginia, as well as his nine grandchildren: Eugene, Quinn, William, Rebecca, Thomas, Amber, Austin, Olivia, and Samantha. Bob was educated at Orono High School, where he played on the football and baseball teams. He later furthered his education at American University. Bob was a K9 Officer for the Metropolitan Police Department, until retiring in 1981. Following his retirement, he operated his own home improvement company for 30 years in Bowie, MD. Bob enjoyed mowing the lawn, competitively growing tomatoes, gardening, antique cars, and following the Washington Capitals, Washington Nationals, and the New York Yankees. Bob will be deeply missed by his family, many friends, and extended family members who were welcomed to live with them over the years. A memorial service will be held at 12 Noon on March 27, 2022 at Murphy Funeral Home, located at 4510 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA 22203, with burial to immediately follow at Parklawn Memorial Park in Rockville, MD.
