Bob was a special person, beloved by all who knew him. He grew up in the Bronx and after enlisting in the Navy at the tender age of 17 saw active duty during the Vietnam War on the aircraft carrier USS Constellation, directing pilots as a radar operator. He landed in Buffalo after his service, living a full life with his wife in North Buffalo. His career was in the Facilities Department at Erie Community College.
