Robert Workman

ORLAND — Robert Lee "Bob" Workman, age 82, of Orland, Indiana, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017, at his residence, with his family by his side.
Bob was born on July 6, 1934, in Bluffton, Indiana, the son of James and Helen (Steison) Workman.
Robert married Virginia Elaine Quick on March 21, 1952, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
He attended Bluffton High School.
He was a retired welder from Fruehauf Trailer Corporation in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and formerly worked in the maintenance department for the Indiana Toll Road.
He served in the Indiana National Guard, and was a former member of the Orland American Legion Post # 423, and was a member of the Orland Congregational Church.
His hobbies included riding horses, fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia E. Workman of Orland, Indiana; his children, Deb (Randy) Harpel of Orland, Indiana, Sherry Buuck of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Tom (Andree) Workman of Orland, Indiana; nine grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and four great-great- grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Richard "Dick" Workman; and a son–in-law, Jeff Buuck (2016).
Calling hours will be held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, February 6, 2017, at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at the Orland Congregational Church, Orland, Indiana, with Rev. Mark Emelander officiating. Military Honors will be provided by members of the Orland American Legion Post # 423 Color Guard.
Burial will take place at a later date.
