ROBERTA PRIDMORE Obituary
ROBERTA E. PRIDMORE "Robyn" (Roche) (Age 76)
Of Staunton, VA, died on Thursday, September 28, 2017, at The Legacy at North Augusta, Staunton. She was born in 1941 in Washington, DC, to the late Edward and Henrietta Roche.Mrs. Pridmore attended Anacostia High School and obtained an associate degree from Northern Virginia Community College. She was a retired Special Education Paraprofessional. She enjoyed travel, reading, crossword puzzles, serving others and spending time with family and friends. Mrs. Pridmore was a member of St. Johns Evangelist Church.She is survived by her daughters, Dawn M. Pridmore (Steve F. Meeks) of Palmetto, GA and Kelly P. Sayre (Jimmy) of Waynesboro, VA; granddaughters, Taylor A. Sayre and Hallie D. Sayre; sister, Elaine (Emmett Cunningham) of Glenn Allen, VA; nieces; nephews and godchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, William C. Pridmore and her daughter, Noel D. Pridmore.The family will be conducting a private memorial service.Memorial donations may be made to Faith Mission Home, 3540 Mission Home Lane, Free Union, VA 22940 or Legacy Hospice, 17 Parkway Lane, Suite 100, Fishersville, VA 22939.Relatives and friends may share condolences and memories with the family online at:www.reynoldshamrick funeralhomes.com

Dawn, Kelly and family, Robyn was a dear friend of mine and I was so saddened to learn of her passing. In earlier years I remember she was always talking so proudly and lovingly about her three girls, Dawn Marie, Kelly Girl and Noel and everything they were up to. I just loved to hear her happy stories. Also many years ago Robyn and I took a semester of French together and spent much of our time laughing hysterically over some of the crazy rules we had to learn. At the end of our course she gave me a beautiful Sorbonne mug which I am still am using today. Robyn was such a lovely lady and I will her very much. We miss you already, Robyn! Lots of memories over so many years. I have fond memories but one in particular of the two of us in the Manassas house basement in front of the fireplace drinking wine and talking. You told me that we learn throughout life and are constantly changing. Never forgot that.
To Dawn, Kelly, and the family, please know Robyn was a wonderful and sweet person and loved by many. You can't help missing terribly loved ones who impact your life. My deepest and sincere sympathy. Robyn's at peace and with God.
