Not sure what to say?

Dr. Humphreys diagnosed me with hydrocephalus and subsequently implanted a ventricle shunt, when I was 22 months old and replaced it when I was four. I remember that my dad always spoke of Dr. Humphreys with a great deal of respect for the way that he always quickly responded to my parents to answer their questions and calm their fears while I was a patient at Sick Kids. I also remember that he always took the time to talk to me, during follow-up appointments. He answered my questions and...

Upon reading my medical documentation as a 34 year old woman today, I did not know it was this man who saved my life at the age of 6 months old at The hospital for Sick Children. My mother told me he went to church on the day he had to do my surgery. I am thankful to him and God always and wish I was able to thank him in person. My most condolences to Dr Humphrey's family.

Just was thinking about him and Googled his name. I was unaware of his passing. My son was born June of 1989 with Spina Bifida/hydrocephalus he was transported to Sick Kids. Dr. Humphreys became his surgeon he closed up his lesion on his back and put a shiny in his brain to drain the fluid on his brain. We were there several times untill he turned 18. He was the most kind doctor we ever dealt with he had the most amazing bed side manners and you knew he truly cared! He truly found his...

almost 4 years later and I still think of this angel. In a time when doctors were known to have no bedside manners, Dr. Humphreys was a knight in shining armour with the sweet mannerisms of a father we all needed. He saved my life, literally. Called me a walking miracle.....and years later when I was alone in Japan, suffering another neurological issue...I walked into a hospital in rural south Japan, where the neurosurgeon on call studied under him! What are the chances. Dr. Humphreys made...

Not sure if this will be heard 2years after mr Humphreys passing but dr Humphrey saved my life he successfully removed a brain tumour when I was only in grade one. I am now 33 and about to be married, father to a beautiful daughter. Thank you for making that possible I was young but your name and face has brevet been forgotten. The work you and sick kids have done couldn´t be more important. Rest In piece and thank you I won´t forget

Dr. Humphreys saved my life by conducting a brain tumour removal and shunt insertion in 1993 at Sick Kids. Such a brilliant and gentle man.

Dr. Humphrey saved my son's life on August 10th, 1988. My wife and I will be forever grateful to him. My son, Anthony, was 5 years old when he was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Today, he is 38 years old with a wife and 2 beautiful daughters. Good bless you and go rest high on that mountain! Tony and Anne Durante

My deepest condolences to your whole family. Robin was my neurosurgeon starting when I was two weeks old. He treated me like I was his family. He will be very missed. Please know your family is in my prayers

The Muir family owes so much to this ‘special’ neurosurgeon. Heart-felt continued sympathy for Jane, Cameron and the rest of Dr. Humphrey’s family.
