Not sure what to say?

I went to Roundhay School in Leeds, Yorkshire, with Roger and we were in the same class for four years. Of the 150 boys in our year (1947 - 1953) Roger was undoubtedly the most outstanding artist and at the same time was extremely modest and unassuming about his enormous talent. He was very intelligent and even as a teenager he was a perfect gentleman at all times. I am Jewish and at a time when antisemitism was still quite acceptable we were good friends; he was naturally always extremely...

Dear Marjorie,

I am so very sad to learn of Roger's death. It was always a pleasure to run into you both at musums and concerts. He was an kind and knowledgable listener to tales of our house projects. Every Christmas brought a card with a new drawing of a place you and he had traveled to during the year.

Please know we are thinking of you and grieving with you too.

Roger Clarke gave generously of his talents, time and expertise to help Canton and Collinsville retain its historic charm and character. Always a gentleman, when he spoke, people listened. His influence on Canton's community will be felt for generations. His passing is a loss to everyone who knew him and to our town and state. Our deepest sympathies are with his family and friends.

To the Clarke family, I am so sorry for your loss. God tells us that he will bring an end to all the suffering that we face. I hope that this gives you comfort. He also tells us that we will have a chance to see our loved ones again.

When I showed interest in architecture in high school, Roger generously allowed me a glimpse into his profession through an internship. Over the years I have always been excited to see Roger's latest drawings. Even though Alison use to complain that he would peer out the side window while driving, I'm glad that he shared his appreciation for his...

When I think of Roger Clarke I think of a gentleman, kind smile, rosie cheeks acompanied with a wonderful accent. I have many fond memories of Roger that will live forever. You made the world a better place.
Our family sends love and support to you all in this time.
