Roger Timm Obituary
Roger Scott Timm, age 88, of Munster, IN passed away April 2, 2012. The son of Rudolph and Viola Timm (Scott), Roger is survived by his wife of 62 years, Evelyn; three sons: Roger (Linda) Timm Jr., Bruce (Sue) Timm, and Robert (Valerie) Timm; seven grandchildren: Pamela (Harold) Williams, Brad Porter, Robert (Jennifer) Timm Jr., Tobi (Jeremy) Wiley, Melissa Timm, Andrew Timm, and Nathan Timm; five great grandchildren; one brother, Rudolph (Diane) Timm; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents: Rudolph and Viola (Scott) Timm. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 6, 2012 at 9:30 AM at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Rd.) Highland, IN with Pastor Lou Rodriguez officiating. Burial at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Michigan City, IN. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, April 5, from 3:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Roger was founder of Timm's Drugs in Gary, IN for over 50 years. He was a mason, member of the Orak Shrine in Michigan City, IN, South Bend Scottish Rite, American Legion Post 180, WW II Navy veteran serving in the Pacific arena, member of the Indiana Pharmacists Alliance, and a graduate of Purdue University School of Pharmacy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Salvation Army or your favorite charity. www.kuiperfh.com

Timm family, sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. Timm. I passed the old store on Broadway and happen to think about him. I Googled his name then saw the obit. I worked for Mr. Timm in the early 80s he was nice. Mrs. Timm, Jr., and Bruce my heart goes out to all of you.

Sorry for your loss. Mr. Timm was by boss for 2 years at Timm's Gary Prescription on 16th and Broadway from1994-1996. I had just happened to think about him and Googled his name and I saw this and it saddend my heart. May God bless your family...E. Ramirez

I was so sorry to hear this! I've known Roger since I was a child in the 60s. I used to love card night on Saturdays with the Timms and the Ades. He was a great man who will be missed by all who knew him! Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I'm so sorry for the loss of ur father Roger for he was a great man and business owner who did alot for the the citizen of Gary Mr. Timm will truely be missed you and ur family will be in our prayers..

My sympathies go out to Evelyn and the children. Roger was a great guy. My dad and stepmother thought a lot of him. I know he will be missed by all. So sorry.

I have known Roger for along time.From the Lake County Pharmacist asso.and The Ind,Pharmacy Alliance beside working in the Gary Area for a very long time.He is from the old school of Pharmacy and a credit to the profession
