Not sure what to say?

Ronnie was one of the most unique people I have ever known. I shared a bedroom with him the first 18 years of my life..... Rick Sherman

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome...

The family of Ron J. Sherman would like to express their deepest gratitude and appreciation to all of Ron's wonderful, dear friends and relatives that united together for his celebration of life. Ron was an avid pilot, a member of the Planetarium Society, an honest Businessman and skilled mechanic. He loved to read non-fiction on a broad spectrum of subjects, enjoyed the thrill of Skydiving, was a heavy Weightlifter, and had met many of the 1st Astronauts.
"The Mighty Sherman" enjoyed...

Our heartfelt sympathy to Irene, Connie, Deanna, Rick, Mary, & June (and extended family) at the lose of your son/brother Ron. Ron always made a point to stop to visit uncle Neil & Barb whenever he was through Des Moines. His attendance at their 40th anniversary and the more recent Sherman family reunion in Colorado will always be cherished memories. We could go on with the many visits to Mason City and what Neil called "shootin the breeze" but simply put nephew & cousin Ronnie was a great...

I am happy to say I knew Ronny for over 30 years. I remember his mother Irene making us a dandilion salad at his folks home. A new experience for me. Then when he flew his first solo and the plane's engine died south of the Clear Lake Airport so he put it down in a standing cornfield. We went to the Coney Island to settle his nerves. I remember him riding the chopper he put together himself. I have fond memories from when he & his dad Tom ran the DX station by West Park. Just many...

My deepest condolences to the Sherman family. Ron was a great guy. His friendship in our early years will always be cherished.

We are so sorry for your loss. We would see Ron frequently when we would visit our brother-in-law Dennis Christensen in Manly. Ron always had a good story to tell about his many adventures. He was one of the most interesting people I know. We lived on VanBuren (the Peterson family} and Sherman's was a BIG part of our neighborhood history. Ron was always included in our family gatherings at Budget Auto. I was so saddened to hear of him passing way to young. Our thoughts and prayers are with...
