Ronald Baker

I met Ron, then known as Ronnie, when we were in seventh grade in Louisiana. We shared a class and from then we were dear friends. I loved him and still do. Kind, so smart, funny, interesting and such a good friend. He had a hard early life but rose above it. I looked for him for years, wanted to see him. And now he is gone. It is so god to know he was happy and lived such a fine life.

I loved Ron Baker..we worked together closely at the SF Transcendental Meditation World Plan Center as co-chairs of the Students International Meditation Society(SIMS). At a time when there could easily be bickering among people working there, Ron and I never fell into that. He was always supportive, humorous, and o so bright. I fashioned my introductory lecture after some of the points he had created for his. After he went on the sidi's course, where he had a bad headache, he fell away...
