I met Ron, then known as Ronnie, when we were in seventh grade in Louisiana. We shared a class and from then we were dear friends. I loved him and still do. Kind, so smart, funny, interesting and such a good friend. He had a hard early life but rose above it. I looked for him for years, wanted to see him. And now he is gone. It is so god to know he was happy and lived such a fine life.

I loved Ron Baker..we worked together closely at the SF Transcendental Meditation World Plan Center as co-chairs of the Students International Meditation Society(SIMS). At a time when there could easily be bickering among people working there, Ron and I never fell into that. He was always supportive, humorous, and o so bright. I fashioned my introductory lecture after some of the points he had created for his. After he went on the sidi's course, where he had a bad headache, he fell away from the TM movement, but we kept in touch sporadically, mainly thru his on-line offerings on AIDS research etc. The last time I saw him he was deliriously happy..newly in love with a young man he adored, and having just moved into a beautiful home having inherited a generous sum from an aunt and doing well himself in the stock market. I will never forget the sound of his laughter, and his dry wit. Ronald Baker, I love you. Grateful to the young man who filled his life with love and happiness til the end..
