Ron was an amazing leader and Scoutmaster. My favorite memory of him was when I went on Boy Scout Troop 5's 50-mile backpack trip in the Emigrant Wilderness as an adult leader. It was just Ron, me, and about 8 Boy Scouts aged 15-18. We were all focused on training for the trip by hiking, exercising, and collecting gear, and Ron led us thru that for several months before the trip.
