Ronald Campora Obituary

Ronald Dominick Campora, 67 years old, passed away December 10, 2010. Ron was born in San Francisco August 16, 1943. When his father, Dominick Campora, was discharged from the Air Force, the family moved to Stockton, his father's home. Ron attended Davis Elementary School, Lodi High and Delta College. He served in the National Guard.
His father owned a Propane business, and Ron loved the trucks and spent as much time as possible at the propane plant. He started working on the trucks as a very young child, and became an excellent mechanic and driver.
Ron was very good with animals, from horses to cats. He enjoyed blackjack and Las Vegas, NASCAR races and the Oakland Raiders. He met people easily and had many friends.
He is survived by his brother Tom, with whom he owned and operated the propane business, his mother Sue Smith, his sister Carolyn (Bunny), and his fiancée, Karen Somers. Ron was a wonderful son, brother and friend.
Friends and Family are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Friday, December 17, 2010 at 10:00 am at DeYoung Memorial Chapel.
There will be visitation at the DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California St., Stockton, CA on Thursday, December 16, 2010 from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. And on Friday, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.
Private Committal.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Ronalds' name to St. Marys Dining Hall, 545 W. Sonora St., Stockton, CA 95203.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Ron. Dom Campora, Ron's father helped my father start his propane business in Redding, CA in 1962. Ron made many trips to Redding throughout those years. Our thoughts are with this family.
