Ron was my last supervisor in the Air Force before my retirement in 1982. Unless I am experiencing a senior moment I have found this news of his passing back in 2015 such a shock and so surprising. Sincere condolences to Carol and family. Ron was good friend in addition to being my boss.

Carol, just learned of Ron's passing while surfing the web and looking up ole friends from my Air Force days. So sorry! I had not seen Ron since my retirement in 1982 (at Shaw AFB). The "Chief" came on like gangbusters when he arrived in SC from NY but working closely with him as I did for couple years I learned deep down he was an ole "softie" who cared about his troops and their welfare.
