I had the honor of working with Chief Gibbs at the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office. I had the upmost respect for the Chief. He was a great leader and a good friend. May God bring comfort and strength to his family.

I first met Ron when I was transferred to the Springfield Division of the FBI. Ron was ever so gracious to me and became a dear friend. He was a true gentleman, always looked on the bright side and had a fantastic sense of humor. Great guy and lived a long and meaningful life. We should all wish we could do the same and there should be no tears shed upon his death. He would love it if everyone would laugh and say as he would, "I did it my way and all of you should do the same." Don...

I first met Ron when he was Inspector General under the Ryan administration at SOS and later as Deputy Director of SOS Police. What a great guy he was! He was very quick witted and enjoyed every day he worked. My sympathy to the family.

A true loss to humanity.Chief was a wonderful man and cop.I valued his friendship and guidance.
