I just heard the news and I am very sad. Ron was a great teacher and he got in Real Estate. Ron had many stories and was a great human being and did so much for his community. Ron made an impact on so many peoples lives and will be dearly missed! Condolences Angelina RIposta

I was hoping to attend the service today but will not be able to. I send the Hansen Family all my best, with fond memories of Ron (and Shirley) through years of Wrightwood Neighbors meetings and events and Taste of Lincoln! Avemue.

Ron was quite a man! He gave so much back to the community and mentored many people in his efforts to help others. I was on the Board of Directors with Ron for 20 years and he was just about the hardest working person on the board when he ran the Taste of Lincoln Avenue. He was always quick with a joke and a hearty laugh, but always serious when it came to work. He was a prominent man in Lincoln Park and he and Shirley raised wonderful people in their kids and grandkids. We offer our deepest...

Very sorry to hear about Ron's passing. He did have a great life from my vantage point. I haven't seen a lot of him in recent years, but we spent a lot of time together on the board of directors of the Wrightwood Neighbors for many years, and also ran the Taste of Lincoln Avenue for quite a few. He and I had a lot of laughs together. Ironically, I saw Ron's obit in the Tribune on the day I was leaving for a Scandanavian holiday in August, which included five days in his beloved Norway.
