PEORIA - Ronald J. Knickerbocker, age 64, of Peoria passed away at 1:28 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born April 20, 1951, in Peoria to Dorothy (Sackman) Knickerbocker. He married Leona Rogers in Peoria in 1975. She survives, along with one daughter, April (Sam) Ames of Hopedale; two grandsons, Logan and Zack Toft of Hopedale; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Robert Knickerbocker; and his close friend, Richard Montsinger.
Ron was an over-the-road truck driver for many years.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today, Nov. 9, 2015, in the Swan Lake Memory Gardens Chapel.
Schmidt-Haller Burial and Cremation Services in Peoria is in charge of arrangements.

My thoughts and prayers to friends and family. Ron was such a great guy and have many fond memories of the times we spent together and the many escapades we shared. He will always have a special place in my heart. May him and Rick find peace together on the other side. Until we me again my dear friend. Love ya bud !
